About the Position
Our Roma Community Services team is key in providing care and support to a range of clients, including older people and those with disabilities. We work with people to explore new options, open doors and create solutions that enable people to live well in their own homes. We are currently looking for a full time Home Care Worker Team Leader to join us.
This role’s overall purpose is to support the delivery of community services to an assigned group of clients, assist in the facilitation and monitoring of individualised care plans; and supervise Home Care Workers and Support Service Workers on a day-to-day basis.
About You
Working under the direction of the Care Coordinator and/or Disability Services Coordinator, major responsibilities for this role will include:
- Day to day supervision and leadership of Home Care and Support Services Workers
- Conducting initial in-home assessments and offering hands-on support to your team
- Recruitment, orientation, supervision and mentoring of new staff members
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Management of client- directed care plans

We require a dedicated, reliable and flexible team leader to commit to mentoring and developing a team. You will be:
- Enthusiastic, compassionate and personable
- Organised with strong time management skills
- Experienced in a senior or supervisory role
- Confident in non-clinical, community based services
- Focused on providing high quality Personal Support Services
- A strong communicator – both written and verbal
- Committed to supporting the elderly and/or those with some level of disability and comfortable working within professional boundaries and guidelines
Qualifications will include:
- Certificate IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care or Disability Services or equivalent experience
- A current Yellow Card (Disabilities Services) or Blue Card with Yellow Card exemption
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
- A current, unrestricted, Queensland Drivers Licence
- A National Police Certificate
