About The Position

Our Wide Bay Community Services team are key in providing care and support to a range of clients, including Aged Care and Disability services. We work with people to explore new options, open doors and create solutions that enable people to live well in their own homes and are currently looking for casual Home Care Workers to join us, covering the Bundaberg region.

The overall purpose of this role is to provide personal care and assistance with a range of activities of daily living which may include hygiene, dressing and grooming, shopping, respite and domestic assistance and will require you to be available for casual weekend hours.

This is your opportunity to showcase your customer-centric attitude and bring the highest level of care to our clients, assisting them to remain living independently and comfortably in their own homes.

 

About You

To join our team, you will be dedicated, reliable and flexible, and offer the following traits:

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - but especially good at listening and hearing what others have to say
  • Organised, punctual and trustworthy
  • Be passionate about working with people with particular needs and supporting them to be the best they can be
  • Offer creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm, and love being part of a team
  • Enjoy everyday living tasks, including cleaning, cooking, showering, shopping, and take pride in your work
  • Show sensitivity to emotional, social and spiritual needs and offer genuine care
  • Are available to work casual weekend shifts
  • Are comfortable working within professional boundaries and guidelines

Qualifications will include:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Community Services (or equivalent)
  • Completion of “Assist with Medication” unit (preferred)
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • A current National Police Certificate
  • Clean, open Queensland Drivers Licence and your own, reliable vehicle
  • Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role
