Policy Advisor - Full Time

About the Position

Our Quality, Learning and Workforce Development team engages with our services to ensure we are providing safe, high quality, client-centric care using innovative, evidence-based practices.

Based in Woolloongabba, this group of specialists focus on developing and enabling staff and services to be relevant and responsive by identifying and implementing best-practice training, education and frameworks throughout the organisation.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Policy Advisor to join the team and assist in the development and implementation of a policy framework. The Policy Advisor is also responsible for developing policy documents that align to organisational practices and influence and determine decisions, actions and activities within Anglicare SQ.

 

About You

With extensive experience managing all aspects of policy research, development, review and evaluation, your abilities will include:

  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and source relevant evidence-based information to assist policy development
  • Examination, analysis and assessment of the impact change has on policies and standards
  • Developing effective policy and planning methodologies, procedures and templates
  • Ensuring legislative compliance and consistency with good practice
  • Preparation of reports and documentation providing information on policy related matters

Your highly developed planning and organsational skills will be coupled with:

  • Proven critical thinking, risk analysis and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively including negotiation and influencing
  • Confidence in time management; prioritisation and adherence to deadlines and timeframes
  • Ability to successfully build and maintain working relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Suite; and a strong understanding of Sharepoint and Document Management Systems

You will be required to hold a relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience), a current National Police Certificate and a clean Queensland Drivers Licence.
