Occupational Therapist - Full Time

About the Position

Our Logan Community Services team is key in providing care and support to a range of clients, including older people and those with disabilities. We work with people to explore new options, open doors and create solutions that enable people to live well in their own homes.

As part of this essential service, we are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join the team on a full time basis, providing support to improve or maintain people’s independent functioning in all aspects of living. The role may assist people who are limited by physical or psychological illness, neurological dysfunction, developmental delay or the ageing process.

 

About You

As an OT with Anglicare SQ you will be skilled and experienced in:

  • Conducting home based assessments, devising care plans and writing functional reports
  • Supporting clients in their own homes, working towards self-care development and/or re-ablement
  • Assessing the home environment, and prescribing aids, equipment and modifications as required, within funding program guidelines
  • Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team with a collaborative, person-centred approach
  • Planning, coordination and implementation of group OT programs if required by the service/community
  • Experience in working with children would be highly regarded

Your exceptional communication skills and genuine interest in helping others, will be supported by:

  • A bright, enthusiastic and dedicated approach to care and clients
  • The ability to work autonomously by planning and prioritising your workload effectively
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality management and best practice procedures 

To be successful in this role, you will also need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
  • Clean, open Queensland Drivers Licence and your own reliable vehicle
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • A current National Police Certificate
