About the Position

Anglicare’s dynamic, collaborative and dedicated Fundraising and Events team are passionate about raising funds and increasing awareness, helping to make a meaningful difference with some of the most challenging problems faced by society’s vulnerable people, such as homelessness, young people in crisis and caring for the aged. To help support this important work, we are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team, working part time Monday - Wednesday.

The responsibilities of the Database Administrator - Fundraising is to provide database management and administrative assistance to the Fundraising and Events department. This includes processing donations and reports; financial reporting for campaigns; analysis of fundraising appeals; and prompt receipting of donations and thank-you letters.

 

About You

With a strong and successful background in database administration, preferably within a non-profit environment, you will be dedicated to the development and growth of Anglicare’s programs, and able to offer:

  • Several years’ experience in the use of database management systems - knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is a distinct advantage
  • Comfortable processing and receipting donations from a number of sources including cash, cheque and credit card
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate information from appeals & campaigns; monitor successes and identify opportunities
  • Database segmentation to ensure fundraising activities correctly target audiences
  • Knowledge of financial reporting with an understanding of banking and reconciliations
  • Strong data entry skills; able to maintain a clean and efficient database to ensure information is current

Along with your exceptional work ethic, you will be a mature, level-headed team player with the following attributes:

  • A self-starter who can manage your own large workload while working collaboratively within a small team environment
  • Comfortable working in an open-plan environment, under an empowering manager who provides support and fosters independence within her team
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail; able to remain focused when completing repetitive tasks
  • Well organised with strong time management, and able to work within multiple timeframes and deadlines

You will be required to hold a current National Police Certificate.
