About the Position

As one of Queensland’s most experienced community service providers, over the years our offering has evolved under different banners, and expanded greatly to include “all of life” services. Our range of supports is ever-increasing and are delivered in partnership with government and other organisations.

We currently have an exciting new role available within our Marketing and Communications team for a full time Officer to work cross functionally, supporting both the Communications and Brand Managers. Based in Brisbane’s CDB the role is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Marketing Strategy and campaign execution; raising Anglicare’s profile through proactive external communications; and helping to improve engagement with Anglicare workforce with effective and regular internal communication.

 

About You

With a successful background within Marketing, Journalism or Communications, you will be experienced with the non-profit or Government sectors and enjoy the challenges of working within a large, multidisciplinary organisation. Skills and capabilities will include:

  • A background in developing and implementing marketing, communications and media plans including drafting strategy for campaign coverage in earned media
  • Identifying publicity opportunities to develop brand awareness, amplify marketing campaigns and gain return on investment
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to adapt tone for target-specific audiences - both internally and externally
  • Planning and writing communications across a number of platforms including press releases, speeches and reports
  • Previous experience assisting with development of videos, animations and social media postings
  • General administrative and support duties including brand research, analysis, information distribution and filing
  • Strong computer skills with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Suite

Along with your exceptional work ethic, you will be a results-focused team player with the following attributes:

  • Commercially savvy with an understanding of marketing as a business function, including working within budgets and return on investment indicators
  • Superb relationship skills and the ability to develop rapport quickly with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Confidence to “up-manage”, encouraging teams and managers to be media-ready and encouraging positive response to media opportunities
  • A self-starter who can manage your own large workload while working collaboratively within a small team environment
  • Enthusiastic, able to hit the ground running, and provide support in achieving successful results within a short timeframe
  • Creative problem solving, outside the box thinking, and an ability to work with limited resources with a focus on both strategic and operational goals
  • Well organised with strong time management, and experience working within multiple timeframes and deadlines

You will need to have a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or other relevant field, a current Queensland Driver Licence and National Police Certificate.
